Bio-plast resins as well as semi-finished and finshed products are based on a patented formulation and process technology using sustainalble raw materials.
Most important ingredient is starch derived from non genentically manipulated corn. Depending on the product the level of corn starch in bio-plast resins and products is between 55-75%! Used daily at home for cooking, baking and as a thickening agent in soups and liquids corn starch is a product of our day-to-day life.
Other ingredients include calcium stearate, a non-toxic stabilizer and lubricant typically used as a food additive, listed as approved European food additive E572.
Furthermore beeswax, for sure a natural product, is part of the bio-plast composition. Used in the manufacture of cheese also this component is recognized as a food additive under E901.
A unique compounding process generates a biodegradable resin easy to process on most plastic converting machinery.
